Digital Phone Company Ltd (DPC) commenced trading in 1994 and is East Anglia’s longest established and largest independent mobile phone retailer with ten stores in the region. Throughout its history it has been locally owned and managed and remains a family owned business to this day. Independence We are able to offer our customer’s contracts from multiple networks whilst maintaining our independence. We focus on training our staff to take the time to talk to their customers and understand their requirements so we can offer the best package for their particular needs and spending requirements. Flexibility In an ever changing and advancing industry, DPC has always focused on remaining flexible and non-bureaucratic and is therefore able to react quickly to the changing marketplace. We are able to identify market trends and adjust our marketing and stock holdings accordingly to always ensure we hold the right range of products, which are in demand by consumers. Our Staff From the Board of Directors down we are passionate people who want to succeed. Our Company is built on the premise of rewarding excellence both in terms of remuneration and promotion opportunities. All of our Store Managers have been promoted though the business and even the Board of Directors have worked their way up from the shop floor. We therefore understand our business inside out and are able to utilise these skills to provide exceptional levels of service to our customers. Supplier Relationships We maintain close relationships with the major handset manufacturers in the UK which allows us to offer a full range of devices and ensures new devices are included in our portfolio as soon as they launch. Due to our retail high-street presence we are also able to source a number of older devices where there is customer-demand and therefore can truly find the mobile phone to suit each individual customer. In addition with the major manufacturers, we have relationships with a number of niche suppliers and we are proud to be able to include their handsets in our portfolio. Brand Evolution Digital Phone Company (DPC) started trading in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk in March 1994 as a single retail store. Based on an enviable record of exceptional customer service and a close relationship with the networks, it was able to expand rapidly to encompass as many as 20 retail outlets, spread over East Anglia. The company’s roots remain in Great Yarmouth, where its main office is situated to this day at 16 Southgates Road. This is its distribution hub where mobile devices are dispatched to its retail outlets as well as throughout the UK and Europe via www.digital-phone.co.uk. DPC is well known for being the main shirt sponsor of its local team, Norwich City Football Club, between 2001 and 2003. This was a key part of the company’s philosophy about integrating itself into local communities and showing support for local business. The DPC brand has developed in the 20 years since it commenced trading in 1994 and the logo has seen a number of iterations, with the current design having been in use since 2006.
